CU CONNECTION

Just as people are different from each other, credit unions are different from other financial institutions (such as banks). Hang around credit unions for a little while and you’ll probably hear people mention “the credit union difference.” What exactly is that difference? Well, to put it simply, people who work in the credit union industry believe that people are worth more than money.

So what does that mean to you as a teen-ager? It means that many credit unions try to help their communities by offering financial education in schools. It also means that some credit unions offer special savings (and even lending) programs for teen-agers (and for younger kids).

Even if your credit union doesn’t have a special program for teens, credit unions are still great to join! Why? Because credit unions want to help people achieve their financial goals, save money, and use money wisely.
